Nashville, Tn Jan. 18, 2012

The annual A.D. Hancock/Walter Nipper Football Sportsmanship Awards were handed out today by members of the Nashville Civitan Club at a luncheon at Swett’s restaurant. The awards go to a football player from Nashville high schools whose team at the least won their district in football this past season. Area college players are recognized as well. The student/athlete is chosen by the school’s principal and head coach and goes to the student/athlete that best exemplifies that school’s level of excellence on and off the field.

Rodney Edmiston – Ensworth High School

Jacob Dyer – Goodpasture High School

Wagner Serrano – Maplewood High School

Devin Wilson – TSU

Coach of the Year – Arcentae Broom, Maplewood
